Job Description

As a Business Development Manager at Righton Blackburns Norwich, you will play a critical role in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining long-term customer relationships and achieving sales targets. You will be a key player in ensuring the growth and success of our business. Full product training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct market research to identify potential new business opportunities.

- Develop and implement strategies to penetrate new markets and expand the Service Centre customer base.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key target customers and suppliers.

- Negotiate and close deals with customers, ensuring profitable and long-term relationships.

- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure we meet customer needs and maximise customer satisfaction.

- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the metals industry and our product offerings.

- Attend industry events and conferences to network and stay current with trends and opportunities.

- Travel across Service Centre area to visit customers and develop new business.

- Deliver reports on potential areas of growth within your area to your Service Centre Manager.

- Achieve or exceed targets.

Requirements

Sales & Negotiation

Proven track-record of success in driving sales growth and expanding a customer base in a B2B environment preferably in stockholding, distribution or metal related industries.

Planning & Organisation

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and a willingness to travel.

Communication & Collaboration

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal departments including the Credit Centre, to ensure customer needs are met and customer satisfaction is maximised. In addition, you will liaise with the Marketing Manager to create and develop local sales campaigns.

Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.

Business Acumen

Using strong problem-solving and analytical skills, you will develop and implement effective sales strategies that align with the Company goals and objectives.

Customer Service

Build and maintain strong customer relationships, identifying their needs and providing timely effective solutions. Continue to deliver great customer service and build the Company brand reputation of a trusted supply partner.
