Plastics, Engineering PlasticsPPS Bar

A semi crystalline, high temperature thermoplastic polymer.

PPS (polyphenylensulfide) is a reinforced, self lubricating polyphenylene sulfide for demanding applications and is a cost effective alternative to PEEK in some applications.

PPS plastic is a semi crystalline, high temperature thermoplastic polymer. Due to its structure, PPS is a very chemically resistant polymer with very good mechanical strength, even at temperatures above 200°C. In addition to its low water absorption, PPS polymer also has good dimensional stability and excellent electrical properties. PPS thermoplastic is chemically very stable, even at high temperatures.

PPS is ideal for applications where PA, POM, PET, PEI and PSU fall short, or where PBI, PI, PEEK and PAI are over-engineered and a more economical solution is required.
