Copper Alloys, Aluminium BronzeBSB 25 DTD498 Bar & Forgings

A copper bronze alloy containing nickel and silicon for very high integrity components.

DTD498 is a copper-nickel-silicon alloy that is a UK MOD specification designed for aerospace applications. This alloy provides a combination of high mechanical strength and notch ductility whilst still able to possess superior electrical and thermal conductivities.

It has excellent bearing properties, resistance to corrosion and hydrogen embrittlement and low magnetic permeability and is used for very high integrity components.
