Copper Alloys, Phosphor & Leaded BronzeC93200 (SAE660) Bar

A leaded (tin) continuously cast bronze
A standard for light/medium bearing applications.

Leaded bronze is easily malleable and provides long life service due to its strong resistance to corrosion and abrasion. SAE 660 is one of the continuously cast semi finished products providing benefits which include: Completely sound castings that are free from pores, shrinkage, cavities, blowholes and segregation, smooth clean surfaces with close dimensional tolerances, good machinability and no hard casting skin.

Its resistance to brine and seawater make it a suitable material for pump and valve components.

Leaded bronzes and gunmetals offer better machining characteristics than that of the other bronzes whilst maintaining a good balance of corrosion resistance and strength.
